Query in Web View

The Query feature in Raiser's Edge NXT web view differs from database view in the following ways.

Web view introduces the following enhanced features:

  • A separate web view only permission for exporting queries from the query editor.

  • Asynchronous, no-wait processing when run or exported from the query list.

  • Drag-and-drop field selection and ordering.

  • Improved field search.

  • Payment transaction ID field.

  • Access to the Query API.

  • Exclude constituents from query results when the user does not have rights to the data.

Note: Results may differ between web view and database view due to this security filter. For more information, see Security by Constituent code Business rules not displaying results as expected.

The following features are not supported in web view:

  • Giving score queries

  • Median and Mode fields

  • Visual Basic Application (VBA) fields

  • NetCommunity fields

  • Attributes/Custom fields filter step in Address Processing

  • Query lists from database view can be selected in some web view capabilities, such as lists and query merges, but cannot be created or edited in web view.

As an alternative, managed lists bring query list functionality into web view. They offer the ability to add and remove records with changelog tracking.
