Donor giving societies are groups of donors that your organization wants to recognize and express gratitude to for their giving contributions. With Recognition Programs, you can manage your donor giving societies in one place. From Constituents, Recognition you can create recognition programs, define rules for qualification, review dynamic recognition lists, choose to automatically approve donors or manually review newly qualified donors, and more.

Recognition types

Recognition types define the type of program you want to create depending on the donor giving society. Each recognition type includes different defaults to get you started faster.

• Legacy program - Recognizes donors who have made an intention of a bequest (committed) or have a fulfilled planned gift (received). Legacy programs have a Gift Type of Planned Gift selected by default.
