Bulk Constituent Processing

Bulk constituent processing allows you to process or reject multiple constituent updates at the same time when working with Luminate Online integration. It helps reduce repetitive actions when reviewing large numbers of constituent records while still maintaining visibility into processing progress and outcomes.

Bulk constituent processing is available from Data management, Luminate Online, Constituent details.

When you bulk process constituent records, Bulk processing status tracks the status of constituents selected for bulk processing. It allows you to monitor the following statues:

  • Processing – The record is actively being processed

  • Queued – The record is waiting for processing to begin

  • Failure – The record could not be processed and includes error details. If a record fails during processing, you can retry or cancel. When you cancel, the record is moved to Unprocessed records.

Successfully processed records are removed from Bulk processing status.

How bulk constituent processing works by tab

Bulk constituent processing behaves differently depending on which tab the constituent records appear in.

Linked

  • The system updates the existing linked constituent records in Raiser’s Edge NXT.

  • The integration maintains the link between Luminate Online and the corresponding Raiser’s Edge NXT record.

  • No new constituent records are created.

Unmatched

The system creates new constituent records in Raiser’s Edge NXT because there is no existing match.

Matched

The system creates new constituent records, even though potential matches may exist. As existing records are not merged, this results in duplicate constituent records. Hence, it is recommended not to bulk process matched records.
