Managing Duplicates and Linked Records (Luminate Online integration)

Raiser’s Edge NXT and Luminate Online integration lets you manage duplicate and linked constituent records across both systems.

Merging duplicate constituents

As a best practice, merge duplicate constituents in Raiser's Edge NXT to maintain data consistency across both systems.

When merging, select Delete source record to ensure:

• Related data is merged in Luminate Online

• The source record is marked as removed in Luminate Online

• The integration link between Raiser's Edge NXT and Luminate Online is preserved.

You’re notified during the merge process if a duplicate constituent record isn’t linked to Luminate Online.

Record states

• Luminate Online: active and removed

• Raiser's Edge NXT: active, inactive, and deleted

After a merge with Delete source record selected, Luminate Online marks the source record as removed.

Linking and unlinking constituent records

From Data management, Luminate Online, Constituent details, you can unlink a linked constituent record and immediately link it to a different record.

This behavior matches the database view experience and streamlines record management in Raiser's Edge NXT.
