Team members
A team is a group of people who are collaborating on one or more solutions for an organization. From the Team members tab, you add and assign permissions to team members.
Add a member to a team
You can add team members to your team from one of two ways. You can invite by email address, or you can quickly invite from a list of SKY Developers who are in your organization or have contributed to your team's applications. You can add anyone as a team contributor who will be working on an application for your organization. Team members are not required to also be users in your Blackbaud solutions.
If you invite by email address, those team members will need a SKY Developer account. If they do not have one, they can sign up for one once they receive the invitation to join the Team.
Assigned roles
When you add team members, you assign them the role for their tasks on the team:
-
Developer – A developer is a member of the team who does not have admin permissions. Developers must have a Blackbaud ID and a SKY Developer account. Developers are not required to have access to the organization's Blackbaud solutions.
-
Team admin – A team admin is a member of the team who can invite other developers to the team. A team admin is not required to have access to the organization's Blackbaud solutions. The team admin is a specific role within SKY Developer and is not the same as admin roles within Blackbaud products.
-
Business manager – For applications assigned to the team, a business manager can set and edit the average selling price from the Solutions tab.
Difference between a team member and an application contributor
Team members and application contributors are independent roles in SKY Developer with no dependencies between the two. For example, you can be one without the other, or you can be both if needed.
Application contributors have full visibility of the application details, including OAuth credentials, redirect URIs, and Marketplace content.
Team members can only see the name and owner of the applications assigned to the organization, but can't see the full details. When necessary, team members can be added as an application contributor to contribute to the application.
