Fee Coverage
To help you raise more, select a fee coverage option for your donation forms.

Donor cover lets donors cover the processing fee so 100% of their donation goes directly to you. We automatically calculate the fee for each transaction and add it to the gift amount. The full amount is tax-deductible. For information on how the fee is calculated, see this Knowledgebase article.

Complete Cover™ lets Blackbaud pay the fee for each transaction up to $3,000. In exchange, we ask the donor to give toward Blackbaud’s service, which eliminates your processing fee. For transactions equal to or greater than $3,000, you're responsible for paying the fees through a Complete Cover-enabled form.
Tip: To help offset fees for ineligible transactions, donor cover may display for Complete Cover-enabled Optimized forms. The amount toward fees is allocated to the form's default fund unless you specify a separate designation from Settings in Online Giving.
To assume responsibility for all related fees and hide the option for donors to contribute towards operating costs, select My organization pays on your forms. For more information about the costs, see Blackbaud Merchant Services Processing Fees.
Transactions eligible for coverage on a Complete Cover–enabled Standard Donation Form are:

One-time gifts paid by card, direct debit, or Apple Pay and less than $3,000.

Recurring gifts paid by card or direct debit and less than $3,000.

One-time gifts paid by card, direct debit, Apple Pay, or Google Pay and less than $3,000.

Tip: The fee amount is allocated to the form's default
To assume responsibility for all related fees and hide the option for donors to contribute towards operating costs, select My organization pays on your forms.
From Online Giving, create or edit a form.

For a Standard Form, under Get started, in Process payments with, select a payment configuration for a Blackbaud Merchant Services account. Next, under Fee coverage, choose how to cover the fees.

For an Optimized Form, under Payment and fees, select a payment configuration for a Blackbaud Merchant Services account. Next, under Fee coverage, choose how to cover the fees.
From Online Giving, under Summary, you can review how much your organization saved in processing fees.
Tip: To view how much you saved in processing fees for a specific form, select the form from Related links, All donation forms.
If you use Blackbaud CRM or Blackbaud Altru, you can remove fees from the future payments of active recurring gift plans in Contributions.

Under Related links, select Recurring gift plans.

From the list find the plan and select its amount.

Select Remove donor cover or Remove amount to Blackbaud.

Next, select Remove.
Tip: If you use Raiser's Edge NXT, you can cancel fee coverage by selecting Amend gift amount in the gift record. For more information, see Recurring Gift Amendments.
