Commandment 2: Search Before Build

When designing your customizations to the Infinity platform, you begin the process of determining the features you need to fulfill the requirements. For example, you may prematurely deduce that you need to create a new data list or some other feature to satisfy a requirement. Before you begin to author that DataListSpec or attempt to configure the data list from ad-hoc query, search the feature metadata to see if the feature already exists within the Infinity catalog system. You may be pleasantly surprised to find the feature already exists!
