SSO Connection Summary
After you turn on single sign-on (SSO) to enable users to sign in through your identity provider (IdP), you manage details about the connection on the Single sign-on page.
Your organization's display name appears when users sign in through your SSO connection, such as on the button that redirects them to your IdP. To edit the display name, select the edit button beside the display name at the top of the Single sign-on page. For more information, see Display Names.
For a SAML 2.0 connection, the certificate expires periodically for security reasons. On the Single sign-on page, you can view when your connection's security certificate expires. To retain your SSO connection, upload a new certificate before the current one expires. For more information, see SAML 2.0 Certificates.
For a Google Workspace connection, you may reset your OAuth client secret periodically for security reasons. To retain your SSO connection, select Update client secret to ensure the secret saved is accurate. For more information, see Google Workspace Client Secrets.
On the Single sign-on page, you can turn off your SSO connection as necessary, such as to troubleshoot an issue or change the connection method. After you turn off SSO:
-
Your organization's users will sign in through Blackbaud's secure authentication service. They will receive email to reset their passwords.
-
You can still use your SSO connection in test mode to verify and manage settings. For more information, see Test Mode.
To turn off your SSO connection, select Turn off SSO. Then on the Turn off SSO connection screen, select the Turn off SSO connection checkbox and select Turn off SSO connection.
