Download Backup Information for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

You can download data for backups you requested. You can't access ones requested by other users. Backups expire after seven days.

1. When your requested backup is ready, you'll receive an email notification. You can select the link within the email. or locate your completed request in the list of backups and select Download backup.

2. Review the details:

   • Ticket number

   • Status

   • Date and time

   • Submitter name

3. For SAS URL, select Copy. You'll use this Shared Access Signature Uniform Resource Identifier (SAS URI) to retrieve your database backup from Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer.

4. Download and install Microsoft's free tool. Azure Storage Explorer - cloud storage management. Choose the version for your operating system.

5. Next review the instructions for How to download a backup using the Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer.

6. Select Download certificate bundle. A zip file is saved to your local computer. It includes a TDE certificate and related files..

7. Unzip it to access your Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) certificate.

8. Then follow the instructions How to restore a Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) database backup.
