Request a backup
Organizations hosted by Blackbaud Cloud Operations can request a database backup once per month. Backups expire after seven days.
From Blackbaud CRM's Cloud Portal, select Backups. A history of backup requests appears in a list.
To request a backup, select +New. Then choose to use the latest backup or specify a date and time from the previous seven days. Consider specifying a backup time if you recently processed a large change and need to undo it.
You'll receive an email notification when it's ready. Download the data for your completed backup.
You can only download backup data you requested, not ones requested by other users at your organization.

To manage backups, your user must have the Backup requests – Backup Administrators permissions role.
To manage users, log in to www.blackbaud.com and select Security. Then view the Blackbaud CRM roles. Enable the role for the appropriate users. For more details, see Roles.

-
Date submitted shows the date and time when the request was made.
-

Requests submitted by Blackbaud employees, including customer support, are listed as Blackbaud.
If you file a customer support ticket and they request a backup on your behalf, it counts towards your organization's quota limit (typically one per month). Blackbaud backups you didn't request aren't counted towards this limit.

-

Processing- The processing time for each request varies based on the size of the database.
-
Completed - Backup requests which are processed and available for download are complete.
-
Expired - Backups automatically expire after seven days. Expired backups are not available for download or use.
