BBPOS WisePOS™ E Setup

To take payments through your BBPOS WisePOS E payment terminal, complete these setup steps.

  1. Remove the back cover of the WisePOS E, insert the battery, and replace the cover.

  2. Charge the terminal via an outlet or the optional Ethernet dock.

  3. After the terminal is fully charged, hold down the power button to turn on the device.

Tip: When not in use, it's recommended to leave the terminal powered on and charging to receive automatic software updates.

Connect the WisePOS E to internet via Ethernet or WiFi. For more information, see BBPOS WisePOS™ E Internet Connection.

Register the WisePOS E through the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal.

  1. Sign in to the account to use for payment processing.

  2. From Terminal devices, select Register terminals.

    Tip: Don't see this option? Contact your system admin for rights to manage devices.

  3. Select Register a terminal.

  4. Follow the instructions to register your device.

To use the terminal in Blackbaud Altru, you also need to configure your workstation. For more information, see Edit a Workstation's Payment Terminal Settings.
