BBPOS WisePOS™ E Setup
Before you can start accepting payments through your BBPOS WisePOS E card reader, there are a few steps you need to take.
Note: The WisePOS E is currently only compatible with Blackbaud Altru on Windows operating systems.

Remove the back cover of the WisePOS E, insert the battery, and replace the cover.

Charge the reader via an outlet or the optional Ethernet dock.

After the reader is fully charged, hold down the power button to turn on the device.
Tip: When not in use, it's recommended to leave the reader powered on and charging to receive automatic software updates.

Connect the WisePOS E to internet via Ethernet or WiFi. For more information, see BBPOS WisePOS™ E Internet Connection.

Register the WisePOS E through the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal.

Sign in to the Blackbaud Merchant Services account you want to use to process payments.

From Terminal devices, select Register terminals.
Tip: Don't see this option? Contact your system admin for rights to manage devices.

Select Register a terminal.

Follow the onscreen instructions to register your device.

After you register your payment terminal, configure it in Altru. For more information, see Edit a Workstation's Payment Terminal Settings.
