Lifecycle Values and Donor States
The program provides several lifecycle values, assigned to constituents based on the criteria configured in Constituents. You can use these values to group prospects or donors based on their overall affinity or revenue activity with your organization.
In addition to the lifecycle values, the program automatically applies a state to donors based on their overall revenue activity over time. You can use these states to create selections of constituents with similar giving behavior. For example, you can include Downgraded or Lapsed donors in a targeted appeal communication to help them resume donations. For information about these states, see Donor States.
You can use both lifecycle values and donor states to further segment constituents into selections. For example, you can divide your Loyal donor selection into smaller selections based on donor state and set plans for your Upgraded loyal donors to continue to upgrade or transition to Major donors, ask your Downgraded loyal donors to resume donations, and encourage Same loyal donors to increase their donation amounts.
