Multi-factor authentication
Note: Short message service (SMS) multi-factor authentication (MFA) only affects users who log in without using single sign-on (SSO).
SMS MFA is an authentication method that requires users to identify themselves with two or more pieces of evidence, or factors, when they sign into the YourCause CSRconnect.
Warning: Contact Support if you have not enrolled in SMS MFA after it has been enabled for your account but need to reset your password, have lost your phone, or receive a new number prior to enrolling. You may see a prompt to enter a verification token, but you will not be able to enroll in SMS MFA in these instances.
-
Log into YourCause CSRconnect. The first time you log in after MFA is enabled, you will be prompted to enter a mobile phone number to associate with your username.
Note: If you are entering an international number or a number longer than 10 digits, you may see an error message that indicates your number is invalid. Enter a + in front of your number to correct this.
-
You will receive a six-digit confirmation code on your device. You must validate your ownership of the number by entering the verification token you receive.
-
Select Remember this device for 30 days if you want YourCause CSRconnect to remember your browser for 30 days after authenticating your login.
-
If you don't receive a code, select Send a new code to try again.
-
Select Verify after entering the code you receive.
-
Log into YourCause CSRconnect.
-
You will receive an email to reset your password for your username. Select the link in the email to continue with resetting your password.
-
Enter your email address and the verification token that has been sent to your device.
-
Verify the Captcha by selecting I am human. The Captcha prevents excessive automated password reset submissions.
-
Enter your new password and confirm it.
-
Select Reset Password.
Note: If you selected the option to remember your browser for 30 days, this setting is cleared when you reset your password.
