Hierarchy Reporting Tools

The Hierarchy Reporting Tools are high-level reporting options that allow employees with the appropriate permissions to drill down on Giving, Volunteering, and Combined Giving and Volunteering participation data. The Reporting Tools include two interactive dashboards: Data by Geography and Data by Company Manager.

To enable the Hierarchy Reporting Tools in UAT or PROD, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Tip: The Reporting Tools update daily at night (CST).

Reporting tool permissions

Admins with the relevant permissions can access the Reporting Tools from CSRconnect Admin Portal, Admin tools, Reporting, Insights, Reporting Tools.

Any employee with the relevant permissions can also access the Reporting Tools. The Reporting Tool will not appear in the CSRconnect Community navigation menus, but your employees can access it through a direct link. You can permission and share the direct link as widely as you want, whether you share it with all employees or only share it to a set of relevant staff.

Use the Reporting Tool permissions to control access to the Reporting Tools and access to specific levels of data. For more about the permissions associated with this feature, see Permissions, Public Reports.

Participation Data by Geography Reporting Tool

This report displays participation data beginning at the Region level. Geographic information is determined by your company's HR file. You can drill down the report to the Country, State, or City level, displaying the totals for each level.

Depending on your permissions, groups with 5 or fewer members may be masked to protect employee privacy.

Select a geographical area to drill down. Select Export View to export the level you are currently viewing.

View the Participation Data by Company Manager Reporting Tool

This report displays participation data by team as defined by managers on your HR file. This tool defaults to show data for you and your direct reports. You can drill down the report through all company hierarchy levels, displaying the totals for each level.

Depending on your permissions, groups with 5 or fewer members may be masked to protect employee privacy.

If you have the needed permission, you can search for any employee to drill down starting at that employee's company hierarchy level. Select Export View to export the level you are currently viewing.

Data Definitions

  • Employees – Total count of active employees on the HR demographic file. Managers are included in their own employee totals.

Volunteer

  • Unique Volunteers - Total count of unique employees who have participated in a team event or individual activity. If one employee has participated multiple times, they will only be counted once in this value.

  • Volunteer Participation % - Percentage of employees who have participated in a team event or individual activity. Volunteer Participation % is Unique Volunteer Participants divided by Total Employees.

  • Total Hours - Total employee volunteer hours for team events and individual activities.

  • Total Events – Total unique count of team events in which employees in a given level have volunteered. An event with multiple occurrences will only be counted once in this value.

  • Total Individual Activities - Total unique count of individual activities in which employees in a given level have volunteered.

  • Volunteer Organizations - Total unique count of organizations with which employees in a given level have volunteered across team events and individual activities. This value includes registered organizations, as well as organizations added via ‘Add Your Own’ or ‘Company Organizations'.

  • Avg Hrs – Average volunteer hours per unique employee volunteer. Average Hours is Total Hours divided by Unique Participants.

Employee Donations

  • Unique Participants - Total count of unique employees who have donated. If one employee has donated multiple times, they will only be counted once in this value. Total includes employee donations only.

  • Average Donation Amount (USD) - Average amount of employee donations (USD) per participant. Total includes employee donations only. Average Employee Donation Amount (USD) is Total Employee Donation Amount divided by Unique Employee Donation Participants.

  • Total Donation Amount (USD) - Total amount of employee donations (USD). Total includes employee donations only.

  • Organizations - Total unique count of organizations that have received an employee donation. Total includes employee donations only.

  • Giving Participation % - Percentage of employees who have donated. Total includes employee donations only. Employee Donation Giving Participation % is Unique Employee Donation Participants divided by Total Employees.

Community Donations

  • Unique Participants - Total count of unique employees who have participated in matching or other incentive programs. If one employee has participated multiple times, they will only be counted once in this value. Total includes match or other incentive donations only.

  • Avg Donation Amount (USD) - Average amount of donations (USD) per participant. Total includes match or other incentive donations only.

  • Total Donations Amount (USD) - Total amount of matches or other incentives (USD). Total includes match or other incentive donations only.

  • Organizations - Total unique count of organizations that have received a match or other incentive. Total includes match or other incentive donations only.

  • Participation % - Percentage of employees who have participated in matching or other incentive programs. Total includes match or other incentive donations only.

Total Donations

  • Unique Participants - Total count of unique employees who have donated and/or participated in matching or other incentive programs. If one employee has participated multiple times, they will only be counted once in this value. Total combines all applicable donation types.

  • Avg Donation Amount (USD) - Average amount of donations (USD) per participant. Total combines all applicable donation types.

  • Total Donation Amount (USD) - Total amount of donations (USD). Total combines all applicable donation types.

  • Organizations - Total unique count of organizations that have received a donation. Total combines all applicable donation types.

  • Giving Participation % - Percentage of employees who have donated and/or participated in matching or other incentive programs. Total combines all applicable donation types. Total Donation Participation % is Unique Total Donation Participants divided by Total Employees.

Overall Totals

  • Total Unique Participants - Total count of unique employees who have participated in volunteering and/or giving. If one employee has participated multiple times, they will only be counted once in this value.

  • Total Organizations - Total unique count of recipient organizations for volunteering and/or giving.

  • Total Participation % - Percentage of employees who have participated in volunteering and/or giving. Total Participation % is Total Unique Participants divided by Total Employees.
