What's coming soon
-
We're transitioning to a release labeling format which starts with the two-digit year followed by a sequential release number for that year. Any major releases will end with a .0.
For example, the release number assignment for the current January release is included as 24.1.0.
-
We've temporarily added the Legacy All Giving Report (AGR) to Standard Reports. As of the 24.3.0 release, scheduled for March 5, 2024, the Legacy AGR will no longer be accessible. For Give reporting going forward, refer to the updated and improved All Giving Report, located in the CSRconnect Admin Portal under Standard Reports, Giving.
-
In the 24.4.0 release, targeted for April 2, 2024, we'll end support for the old version of the homepage and for Text to Engage functionality.

When a charity is not in good standing based on California (CA) Bill 488 requirements, there are state restriction identifiers and search filters displayed for all users, but they impact those whose residence information is set to California. Those donors cannot give to restricted organizations through the system and redemptions for restricted organizations won't be processed.
We will enable the following updates in this release.
They include:
-
State restriction alerts and messages when displaying search results, redeeming incentives, and recording fundraisers.
-
The Filter by Donation Eligible search filter prevents non-compliant charitable organizations from appearing in Give and Giving Campaign search results for donors with a CA residence.
This change also impacts California residents' payroll pledges to restricted charities; any payroll pledges to these charities will be placed on hold.
When donor regulation updates are activated, all users will be prompted for their residency when they first log in; they cannot bypass this screen without providing a response. In addition, they can update their residency in their profile under My Account. If they reside or relocate to California and have payroll deductions associated with pledges to organizations with state law restrictions, a screen will appear that advises them of these issues.
There are several enhancements in this release that support our solution for CA AB 488. To review our full response, see California Assembly Bill 488: Impact to YourCause Communities.
For employees with non-English language preferences, calendar days and months in calendar widgets are now displayed in their preferred language and associated date format in the following locations.
Note: This update only applies to calendar widgets. Date listings and formatting elsewhere will not change at this time.
-
Search Opportunities - navigate to Volunteer, Search Opportunities, All Upcoming Dates.
-
Record Hours - navigate to Volunteer, Record Hours, Get Started, Activity Details, Participation Date.
-
Create an event or project - navigate to Volunteer, Create, Get Started, Create an Event or Create a Project.
-

Give
We have made the following updates for the current checkout flow:
-
Added a description for the donation designation
-
Removed the info icon to the About Service Fees screen
-
Added language to explain when a support or processing fee will be added to your donation
If a user has existing donations in their cart and their residency is set to or switches to California, CSRconnect removes any donations to state-restricted organizations. When the user navigates back to the cart, a message appears indicating that donations were removed due to state law restrictions.
If a user donates through the system or records offline donations and their residency is set to or switches to California, CSRconnect disables the Edit and Apply Now buttons for matching opportunities to any state-restricted organizations listed in Give, My Giving, Match Programs.
Previously, the Details section of a charity's profile page showed the description of the charity's NTEE code.
Now, that section will display both the alphanumeric NTEE code and the description.
We have made the following updates to donation redirects:
-
We have updated the donation redirect page to make the available redirect options clearer to the donor. The Transactions link on this page will now also display the reason this donation became a stranded fund.
-
Email notifications for the Stranded Funds Automation process will also include the cause of the stranded fund.
Giving Campaign
When the Giving Campaign is active, if a user has active pledges that are eligible for rollover or renewal and their residency is set to or switches to California, a popup message appears if there are any state-restricted organizations involved. The system displays this message when the user logs into YourCause or saves the residency change in My Account. Pledges are prevented for state-restricted organizations.
Incentives
When a user who resides in California volunteers for an organization that is on the revocation list and the following incentive criteria apply, the user is not eligible to receive an incentive for that organization.
To navigate to and apply these settings:
-
Go to CSRconnect Admin Portal, Incentives, Programs, Manage Rules, Edit Details.
-
In the Participation Criteria section, select the Participation hours must be to the same organization checkbox.
-
In the Redemption Settings section, select the Redemption goes to same charity volunteered option.
Volunteer
When a user who resides in California volunteers for an organization that is on the revocation list, the user is not eligible to receive any form of volunteer grant for that organization.
To prevent users, including event creators, organizers, and volunteer admins, from manually adding participants, clients can ask their Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to disable the Allow users to add participants setting.
When event waitlists are re-enabled, the system now checks pre-existing waitlists for each shift across all existing occurrences. Available instances are then updated with waitlisted participants.
Note: This functionality does not apply to NPO events that are pushed to CSRconnect.
Reporting
As part of the 2.88 release, we've migrated the following reports from New Data Hub to the Standard Reports menu option of the Report menu on the CSRconnect Admin Portal:
-
Skills Report
-
Compliance Report
-
Vetting Requests Report
-
Participation Levels Report
The Match Program Report is now available under the Give section of Standard Reports. We've removed the Match Program Report download link from the Match Programs page.
A new filter, Payment Created Date, is now available for the All Giving Report. This filter displays the date when a payment (check or ACH number) was created.
Admins can now view the Charitable funding information page while also reviewing the associated Help Center topic in a new tab.
For more information, see Charitable funding information.
CSRconnect admin portal
Previously, the Give home page feature widgets only displayed for users with Give enabled. We updated them to also display for users with Giving Campaigns enabled.
For more information, see the Home page design page.
Admins can now enter custom translations for message banners under Community Settings, Message Banners. For more information, see the Message banners page.
You can now request your CSM add custom-translated text for custom question sets and existing tags.
Previously, taking action on a match request in the CSRconnect Admin Portal would direct the admin to the first page of requests when the page reloaded.
Now, the user remains on the same page of requests after taking action on a match request.
