Match Requests

When you create a match program, you can select Need YC Admin Approval to require admin approval of match requests. On Match Programs, the Need Approval column shows the number of pending match requests for each match program.

In some cases, a client may contract for our Program Services team to review and approve matching gifts on their behalf.

From Manage Requests, admins can approve, deny, request resubmission, or reverse decisions for match requests. Go to CSRconnect Admin Portal, Admin Tools, Program Management, Match Programs. Select the number of pending match requests for the match program or select Manage Requests under Options.

Your role must include the Can Manage Match Programs permission to manage match requests.

Once a match request is approved, match transactions are automatically created.

Recurring donations will continue even if the match request is denied.

Note: Both custom and company compliance statements appear on Manage Requests.

Sort and Filter Match Requests

  • Use the Search By tool to search by employee, charity, or request ID.

  • Use the Sort By dropdown to sort by request submission date or charity name.

  • Use the Per Page dropdown to choose the number of requests displayed on the page.

  • Use the Filter tool to filter your results by values such as request status, charity compliance status, or request amount.

Tip: Filter for the Pending status to view pending match requests only.

View Request Details

The most commonly referenced fields appear by default for each request. The rest are visible by selecting the View Request Details link.

Match Transaction ID appears by default for credit card and offline donations because the ID is auto generated.

Donation Amount is readily visible at the beginning of the listing.

View all fields for all requests by selecting Expand All.

Automatic Match Approval

If the admin approval setting is not enabled for a match program, match requests are automatically approved.

Note: If a charity has not met its compliances and affirmations, the match request can not be auto-approved and requires admin approval.
