Run a Basic or Advanced List (EAP)

Users with access to run a list can use it to generate a sort of report.

  1. Schools participating in the early adopter program (EAP) can use a "sneaky link" url to access a new experience for managing basic and advanced lists. When you join the EAP, save the link to your browser's bookmarks.

A list of basic and advanced lists appears.

Note: Not in the EAP? See basic lists and advanced lists instead.

  2. Choose which Columns of data to show.

Then Filter and sort the list.

  3. Search for a specific list. When you find the list, select the ellipsis (...) at the beginning of its row.

  4. Select Run. The results appear in a new list (grid).

Large results are paginated. Determine how many items should appear on each page.

    You can also:

    • Search the list to find specific results.

    • Reorder the columns. Select a column header. Then drag it to the desired location.

    • Select a column header to sort the list by that value. To reverse the sort order, select the column header again.

    • Export the data for use in a third party spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel.

When you Export the list results, a comma separated value file (.csv) is downloaded to your local computer, based on your browser settings.

    • Refresh the data to see the latest results or to re-run the list.

    • Generate Mail labels such as for use with a Mail merge communication. See Mail labels.
