View open or completed billing actions

The My actions view lists all open actions the logged-in Billing clerk must take regarding following up with a payer.

Billing clerks create actions assigned to themselves or another Billing clerk to fulfill. Once resolved, a Billing clerk marks the action as completed. You can also manage actions directly within a student's billing profile.

Add an action

Billing clerks can assign follow-up tasks to themselves or other clerks using actions.

  1. Under Actions, select Add.

  2. Enter the Student to contact to resolve the action.

  3. Select the Type of action to take.

    Note: Create Action types under Billing settings.

  4. Select the Due Date for when the Action should be taken by. Actions that are not completed before their due date are marked as Past due in the list.

  5. Enter a summary Title and as much Description as necessary to assist the Billing clerk with fulfilling the task.

  6. Assign the Action to a Billing clerk.

  7. Select Open if the action must be taken, or Closed if this record is historical.

Complete an action

Actions not resolved before their due date show a Status of Past due. Once fulfilled, you must mark them complete.

To complete an action:

  1. Under Actions, select the context menu for an action.

  2. Select Mark complete.

Upon being marked as complete, the action is assigned a status of Closed, and records the date the action was closed.

View all open actions

Although My actions defaults to include all actions assigned to the Billing clerk viewing the list, you can also view actions assigned to other Billing clerks. Seeing the entire list of open actions enables Billing clerks to work in tandem.

To see all open actions:

  1. Under Actions and beside Filter, select the X next to your name in the Assigned to: filter token.
