Course Requests in Overview

Approve requests and recommendations

Near the top of the screen, beneath the Course selection and schedules heading, review the menu options to make sure you are in the appropriate academic year, school level, and term, and that Academics is selected.
Select Approve requests. This will take you to a list displaying all students who have requests and recommendations awaiting approval.
Use the Columns and Filters to narrow down the list as necessary.
You can either select Approve all to approve all pending requests for the students displayed in the list, or you can select the pencil icon beside a student name to review their course requests individually. For more information, see Approve & Deny Course Requests.

View fulfilled/unfulfilled matrix

Near the top of the screen, beneath the Course selection and schedules heading, review the menu options to make sure you are in the appropriate academic year, school level, and term, and that Academics is selected.
Select View fulfilled/unfulfilled matrix. This will open a grid of courses showing the number of students who have Requested each course as well as the number of requests that are Fulfilled and Unfulfilled. Select any column header to sort by that column. You might need to scroll to the right to see the entire grid.

Enter requests, requirements, and recommendations

Near the top of the screen, beneath the Course selection and schedules heading, review the menu options to make sure you are in the appropriate academic year, school level, and term, and that Academics is selected.
Under Course requests, select More actions, then Enter requests. This opens the dialog Add course requests and recommendations for students.
Select the Year and School using the dropdown menus.
Select the Type of request.
Search for a course name under Course and select it.
Select a Start term.
Search for and select an Alternate, if applicable. Select + to add another alternate, and the gear icon to change the order of the alternates.
Set the Status to Pending or Approved, if applicable.

Note: If this is a Recommendation, the Status is locked as Pending on this screen.
Select + Add another request if necessary, then repeat steps 4 through 8.
Select Next to advance to the Students tab.
Under Add students, select one of the following options, then select Add:
- enter classification(s) of students: You will be prompted to select grade levels from a dropdown menu, then select Add.
- specific students: Search for students in the search bar that appears.
- student lists: You will see an Open option appear. Select it, then select the student lists you would like to use and then Add.
- students in particular course(s) last year: Search for courses in the search bar that appears.
- students in particular class(es) last year: Search for classes (designated by a course name and section) in the search bar that appears.
Modify the list by selecting or unselecting the indicator beside student names.
Select Add requests / recommendations when you are finished.

Delete requests

Near the top of the screen, beneath the Course selection and schedules heading, review the menu options to make sure you are in the appropriate academic year, school level, and term, and that Academics is selected.
Under Course requests, select More actions, then Delete requests. This opens the dialog Delete course requests and recommendations from students.
Select the Year and School using the dropdown menus.
Select the Type of request.
Search for a course name under Course and select it.
Select a Start term.
Select a Status: All statuses, Pending, Approved, or Denied.
Select + Add another request if necessary, then repeat steps 4 through 7.
Select Next to advance to the Students tab.
Under Add students, select one of the following options:
- enter classification(s) of students: You will be prompted to select grade levels from a dropdown menu, then select Add.
- specific students: Search for students in the search bar that appears.
- student lists: You will see an Open option appear. Select it, then select the student lists you would like to use and then Add.
- students in particular course(s) last year: Search for courses in the search bar that appears.
- students in particular class(es) last year: Search for classes (designated by a course name and section) in the search bar that appears.
Modify the list by selecting or unselecting the indicator beside student names.
Select Delete requests / recommendations when you are finished.

Tip: To confirm a request has been deleted, you can return to the Course selection and schedules - Overview page, go to the Course requests tile, and select requests to see a list of currently existing requests.
