Learning Tools

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is a standard for securely and easily integrating learning applications, known as learning tools, with learning management systems (LMS). LTI is a single sign-on (SSO) integration, so users who are impersonating someone else will not be able to launch a third-party tool, such as Turnitin. LTI is also limited to Academic groups.

Platform Managers can configure learning tools from third-party tool providers and review usage details for each tool in CoreSettingsIntegration Settings > Learning tools. Filter the list of learning tools by Status or LTI version.

Note: Contact your tool provider vendor to obtain the necessary credentials you'll need for set up and to determine if they support LTI version 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3. You should not enable multiple versions of an LTI tool at the same time.
