Test Scores
Grading Managers can enter test scores for students. Test scores can either be added for students individually, or imported in bulk.
In order to record test scores for students, a Grading Manager must first create a test category for each test type. Examples of test categories include: PSAT, SAT, ISEE, SSAT, etc.
-
From the persona menu, select Academics.
-
Select Grades then choose Grading setup.
-
Select Tests.
-
Select Add.
-
Enter a Sort Order. This numerical value dictates the order items appear in the list. If you leave this blank, the default sort order is alphabetical.
-
Enter a Test Description for example, ISEE, ERB, PSAT.
-
Select if the test results should Print on Report Card and Print on Transcript.
-
Enter a Number of Subtests. Each of the suggested tests above has individual scores that roll up to an overall number. This is the place to break those out.
-
Select Next.
-
The screen refreshes and gives a number of boxes to enter Subtest Description and Sort Order. If you created too many subtest boxes, select Delete next to the extra field. Select Add Subtest to add an additional field.
-
When you are finished, Select Save & Exit or Save & Add Another.
-
From the persona menu, select Academics.
-
Search for the student using the People Finder.
-
Once on their profile, select Performance and then press Add Test Score under the Test scores section.
-
Enter the test date (and time if necessary) and select the test from the dropdown menu.
-
Select if the score should Print on report card and Print on transcript.
-
Enter the Overall Score.
-
Select Upload or drag a file to add an attachment (optional).
-
Enter a Comment (optional).
-
If there are separate scores for Subtests, enter them in the appropriate fields.
-
Select Save & Close.
When generating transcripts and report cards, users have the option to only include a student's highest score on a test, such as the SAT or ACT.
After selecting Add Test Score, select Print on report card or Print on transcript to include the score.
Test scores can be imported using the Data import tool in Core. Select the Category: Student and the Data Import Type: Test Scores to upload test scores in bulk. For more information, see Data Import .
Note: This import can be used to update existing test score records. The import will attempt to match based on the User ID, Test description, and the date/time for the test in order to update. If the test also contains subtests, these descriptions must match as well.
