Profile Changes

Platform managers and contact card managers should regularly acknowledge data changes made to user profiles.

Profile changes in the list already appear "live" on user profiles. This list is an audit history of all profile changes that user's made themselves and that other managers made on their behalf. The list also shows when a change was made.

You'll review the changes and acknowledge them. For some updates, your school's policies and procedures may require you to alert other departments, roles, resources, and other databases that don't automatically sync with Blackbaud Education Management.

You can also view a history of changes for an individual's profile.

Review and acknowledge profile changes in bulk

  1. Select Core.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Select Profile changes. A list of profiles and the changes recently made appears.

  4. Select a Filter to limit the list results. Choose what to view and then select Apply filter.

Tip: For example, if you recently imported data in bulk and now need to acknowledge the changes you just added, select to only show Changes by "Only me" and Changed on with the specific date of the import

  5. From the results, select a user's name to access their profile, such as to edit the user's information.

  6. To create comma separated value (.csv) file for use in third party spreadsheet applications (such as Microsoft Excel), select Export.

  7. Select the names whose records you have reviewed or select Select all.

  8. Then select Acknowledge changes.

Tip: Most employees who are responsible for keeping user profile data updated should have the contact card manager role instead of platform manager role (and its clones).
