Download a Sample CSV File to Bulk Upload User Files

Before a platform manager can upload user files in bulk, the you must first create folders and file names to organize the files. You'll also need a comma separated value (CSV) file that indicates which users should be associated with each of the various files for the file names in that structure.

  1. Select Core.

  2. Select System tools.

  3. Select Bulk upload.

  4. Select Bulk upload user files.

  5. Select Upload user files.

  6. Under "Step 1: Create a sample file (optional)," select Create sample file.

  7. Your computer downloads a sample CSV file.

  8. Use a spreadsheet application (such as Microsoft Excel) to open the sample.

    Notice the column headers for

    • userid

    • filename

    Don't rename the column headers. Don't add columns.

  9. Edit the file.

    1. Remove the row of sample data (row 2).

    2. Enter data for your users and files.

    3. Each row in the CSV file must contain a unique ID and a unique filename.

    To export a list of user IDs to use in your CSV file, consider using a user list.

  10. Save the file.
