Create Checklist Steps
The admissions checklists contain each milestone and the steps associated with that milestone that must be completed during the admissions process. Admissions managers and staff use checklists to manage candidates' progress throughout the process. Via certain steps candidates can find links, downloads and upload documents.
Add steps:
-
Next, select Admissions, Admissions setup, and then Checklists.
-
Select Add Step to the Checklist type.
-
Add the checklist type for the purpose. This can include options like a Decision, Event, Financial Aid, a School Form and more. If you’re using Blackbaud Financial Aid Management as the Type, check out our documentation here.
Note: These items will need to be created before they appear in this list. For example, if School Form is selected as the Checklist Step type, the School Form Type dropdown populates with existing values from your system, and then the School Form dropdown is populated by the matching forms available to that selected Type. If you're not seeing a specific form, double check that it is active within the School Forms section.
-
Add step name.
-
Enter due date - When is this step due to be completed?
-
Specific date and/or after checklist step assigned - With this option, you also have two sub selections you can make. Specific due date allows you to select a due date using the calendar picker. Days after checklist step assigned lets you enter a set number of days after the step is assigned for conditionally generating the due date for each candidate. For example, if you enter a 3, the due date will trigger 3 days after the checklist step is assigned. If you want, both options can be enabled for a more flexible option providing a range of time.
-
Days after a prior checklist step completed – If this is selected, you’ll set the amount of days after a previous checklist step is completed which then sets the Due Date. There’s a dropdown to select which prior checklist step will trigger this new one, and then a place to add the number for the number of days after once that checklist step is completed. For example, entering a 2 will mean the due date will be 2 days after the previous step has been completed.
