Use rubrics to evaluate student assignments consistently, provide targeted feedback, and track student performance over time. Learn how to assess assignments with rubrics, add comments, and adjust total rubric points for individual students.
Evaluate Assignments with Rubrics
Evaluate assignments with rubrics from Assignment Center, Classes, Gradebook, or Calendar. Use Student view to assess one student at a time or Class view to assess multiple students.
For more information about assignment grading workflows, see Grade Assignments.
Before you begin
-
As you evaluate skills, the total score updates automatically.
-
You can save without completing the entire rubric.
-
Skills without evaluations count as zero.
Warning: After you begin grading with a rubric, you cannot edit or remove the rubric from the assignment.
Note: For schools using LTI: Grades entered from Turnitin are overwritten by Rubrics. In addition, grades don't pass back from Academics to Turnitin.
