Fill Out Learning Profiles for Students
Once a school has established its Learning Profile Settings and created Learning Profile Forms, a Learning Profile Manager can add learning profiles to students' Academic Profiles.
There are two ways to add a learning profile to a student's record: via their the People finder or via Grades management. Once a learning profile has been filled out for a student, a user with the Learning Profile Manager role can edit a student's learning profile by going to Grades, Grades management, and selecting the Manager learning profiles tab.
-
In Academics, use the People finder to select a student. This will open the student's Academic Profile.
If your school is in the Early Adopter Program (EAP) for 360 Academic Profiles, Learning Profile information appears on the Performance tab. See the help topic Academic Profile Performance Tab for more information.
-
Open the student's Performance tab.
-
Under the Learning profiles heading, select + Add learning profile.
If you would like to copy a learning profile that has already been filled out for a student, select the context menu beside that learning profile and select Copy learning profile. This opens the Add learning profile modal with fields filled in based on the previous profile. The following fields are not copied over: Start on date, End on date, and Publish selections (I.e., Ready or Not ready).
-
Select a Start on date when the learning profile takes effect.
Optional: Select an End on date.
-
Select a Learning profile to fill out for this student.
-
The fields for the learning profile form will appear below. Enter them as needed. If a field allows for multiple selections, a button will appear labeled + Select some values.
-
If this is a learning profile that requires approval, choose from the options Ready for approval or Not ready for approval.
If this learning profile does not require approval, then choose from the options Ready or Not ready.
-
Select Save. The learning profile will now appear on the student's Performance tab under Learning profiles.
-
In Academics, select Grades, then Grades management. The Overview tab will open by default.
-
Select + Add learning profile.
-
Search for a student name and select it.
-
Select a Start on date when the learning profile takes effect. You can either use the calendar picker or enter the date in the format MM/DD/YYYY. By default, today's date is entered.
Optional: Select an End on date.
-
Select a Learning profile to fill out for this student.
-
The fields for the learning profile form will appear below. Enter them as needed. If a field allows for multiple selections, a button will appear labeled + Select some values.

You can inactivate a Learning Profile for a student via Grades management. Doing this will not delete the Learning Profile form or remove the filled-out form from the student's records; it will only mark the learning profile "Inactive" for this particular student.
-
In Academics, go to Grades and select Grades management.
-
Open the Manage learning profiles tab.

Find a student with an active learning profile and select Inactivate.
-
