Business rules
-
Warn when projected and actual amounts don't match — Select this to display a warning message on the deposit's record when the projected amount and actual amount don't match.
-
Exclude "Do not post" from Post status — Select this to remove the option "Do not post" from the Post status field when you add or edit a deposit.
-
Duplicate payments — To automatically check for duplicate payments, select payment fields to compare and specify a character length. For example, to identify duplicate payments with the same comment, select "Payment comment" and enter "25" for the length. Make sure to select Check for duplicate payments and decide whether to warn users when duplicates exist or choose not to allow duplicates at all.
Note: "Payment date" and "Amount" are duplicate fields by default. If you select Warn user duplicates exist, the warning displays upon save for each payment with the same date and amount. Users can't save them if you also select Don't allow duplicates.
Communications
You can format receipt options for payments, such as your organization's address, phone number, and email. You can also include categories, such as Car Wash or Bake Sale.
Note: In a future release, we'll offer support for eSignatures.
For more details about generating receipts, see Generate and print receipt.
