Delete a Family

Families may request that their personal information be completely deleted from Financial Aid Management. Advanced School Users can permanently delete a family's information at their request.

Warning: The steps below permanently and irreversibly delete a family's account, application, and documents from Financial Aid Management for all sessions that the family exists. If you only want to delete a family's application for a specific session, see Delete applications in Manage Families

  1. Select FamiliesManage Families.

  2. Search for the family and select their name under Family Name.

  3. Select Security from the menu on the left.

  4. Select Delete Family.

  5. Enter a Reason for deletion, then select Delete Family.

  6. A warning message explains that proceeding will permanently delete the family's account, application data, and documents for all years they exist in BBFAM.

  7. To proceed with the deletion, select Yes. To exit without deleting the family, select Cancel.
