Report manager

You can view the Report manager by navigating to Analysis, Report manager. You can switch between different report type lists using the Report Types panel on the left. To add a report to your favorites, select its menu , Add to favorites. The favorite star turns yellow and the report moves to the top of the reports listing with any other existing favorites. Select the All Favorites report type to view all your favorite reports in one list.

Report manager lists all Standard and Ad Hoc report types.

For Standard reports, the Filter section loads empty and you can define additional filters using Modify filters. These criteria are added to the search filter defined within the standard report file and the combined filters are used to generate the report. Thus, you can add restrictions to the report, but you can't remove existing standard search constraints.

Note: Only Saved searches built with standard Filters will be listed. Saved searches built in the Advanced search editor are not compatible with the formulas that are pre-built into the Standard reports.

For Ad Hoc reports, the Filter section loads the search filter associated with the report template. You can modify or add to these filters using Modify filters. The final filter in this box is used to generate the report. Thus, you have complete freedom to modify the report filters.

If you use a saved search to create a report, the filter in the report settings reflects the saved search filters. The report is linked to that saved search going forward. If you update the filters of the saved search, the filters of the report also update.

However, if you modify the filter in the report settings and then save the report, the filter changes do not alter the original saved search. The link between the original saved search and the report breaks. From that point forward, updates to the saved search do not update the report filters.

Note: Standard reports are pre-formatted, and are not editable in the way that Ad Hoc reports are.
