Enhanced Duplicate Check when considering pending applications
We’re excited to introduce an improvement to the Duplicate Check functionality in Blackbaud Grantmaking. This enhancement allows you to select which fields to update when performing a Consider action. This helps accurately link application data to existing Organization and Contact records entered in Blackbaud Grantmaking.

Required Currency fields support zero or negative numbers
To support more flexible data entry, we've updated validation for required Currency fields. Required fields no longer enforce amounts greater than zero. Instead, users can enter zero or negative numbers when the field is required, as long as the field is not empty.

Reconsider requirements with optional truncation
You can now reconsider requirement forms that previously failed due to character‑limit errors. When a field exceeds the allowed limit, you now have an optional truncation step that only trims the fields causing the issue, allowing the requirement to be successfully considered without republishing or requesting applicant changes.
From Applications, Pending submissions, select the Action needed tab. Select the red triangle icon next to the requirement to view the reason for action needed. If the error indicates that the character limit on any fields has been exceeded, you can then choose to select Truncate and retrieve from the requirement's menu to successfully retrieve the requirement. The Requirement will be removed from Action needed, and will move to the Historical tab.
For more details, see Consider.
