Enable the Accessible Alternative Administrator Interface
The Accessible Alternative Administrator Interface enables visually impaired administrators to use special browser applications, such as JAWS, to navigate through the fields, lists, radio buttons, and checkboxes by pressing keyboard keys (such as Tab) instead of using a mouse. In addition, visually impaired administrators can:
-
Locate instructions or fields before or above each component they reference (as opposed to after, below, or behind them)
-
Identify the input components that can be completed on each form by reading the label tags
-
Understand the target of a link by reading the TITLE attribute that describes the link's purpose
-
Identify an image by reading the image's ALT attribute except when the image is part of a text link with the TITLE attribute
-
Understand a data table's setup such as the number of columns and column headers by reading the SUMMARY attribute
WYSIWYG Keyboard Accelerators are available for moving around the window.
