Reverse the Default View of the Content Editor Blocks

You can reverse the WYSIWYG view that the content editor blocks display in by default and have the blocks display in the Code View instead each time you access them. This means that the content blocks will open with the tagging and formatting codes displayed and that you can enter the coding and tagging in the content directly. Although no toolbars display, the drop-downs for inserting Personalization, Conditionals, Components, and Links into the content are available.

You can easily return to the WYSIWYG view by clicking Use WYSIWYG editor (located in the upper right corner).

Note: To view the HTML tagging and formatting in all of the content blocks on a page, click Show Escaped HTML (from the toolbar at the top of the page).

To reverse the view that the content editor blocks display in by default

  1. In the upper right of an Administrator interface page, click your user name.

  2. In the Administrator Preferences pop-up, click the Use the WYSIWYG checkbox to remove the checkmark.

  3. Note: Clicking the checkbox again to add the checkmark returns to the original view where the WYSIWYG editor with full toolbars of formatting tools display.

  4. Click Save.
