Selecting a Layout

(Layouts and Themes must be enabled)

You can select from four different layouts to control the position of critical elements on your Take Action page, such as Contact information fields and the main Message content. You may decide to pick a layout that is consistent with the rest of your organization's site, or a layout with a unique look and feel.

If Layouts and Themes is enabled, the first layout of the four available is selected by default until you select a different one.

When you finish editing the Take Action page, click Finish or Save.

The four available layouts are:

  • (default) Description and Targets top, Contact fields left, Message right

  • Description and Targets top, Message left, Contact fields right

  • Description and Contact fields top, Message left, Targets right

  • Description and Targets left, Contact fields right, Message bottom

The elements controlled by the layouts are:

  • (default) Description - The public-facing Description that you provide when editing the Take Action page. (This is not the same as the Description you provide on the Identify Alert process page.)

  • Targets - A list of the selected Target recipients of this alert. If you configure the Section Headings and Display Options not to display Targets, the list is hidden regardless of which layout you select.

  • Contact - This section includes all standard or custom Contact information fields that advocates will be asked to complete. Custom questions are added to the alert on the Include Questions process page.

  • Message - The main Message of the alert, including any opening and closing statements as well as the Message Content.
