Create a Regulations.gov Target
Note: Delivery to regulations.gov is currently unavailable. The Luminate team is evaluating the inclusion of regulations.gov in a possible future release. An Idea is now open in the Ideas portal where you can comment, add needs or details, and upvote if regulations.gov delivery is a need for your organization.
Government agencies are often required to consider public comments on proposed regulations before they enact them. You can use action alerts to mobilize your constituents to submit comments in support of or opposition to proposed regulations.
When you create an alert enabling constituents to comment on a document such as a proposed federal regulation or a report, you target the corresponding item rather than a person. You can target items that are open for public comment on either the Regulations.gov or the FederalReserve.gov sites. An action alert configured with this type of target will post public comments automatically.
On the Regulations.gov site, you can browse for documents open for public comment or search for specific documents. For example, to view all documents accepting comments within a given time frame, click a Comments open for the next __ days link in the left pane.
While Regulations.gov webforms share a common set of standard fields, they can vary by agency: one agency may require a certain field while another may not. As you create your Target, you can view the targeted webform in a separate window and add data for any requested non-standard fields.
