Preview a Call Alert

After configuring the various pages and options of a Call Alert, you can preview the alert both as a registered user who is logged-in and as a site visitor who is not yet logged in.

Note: The site visitor who is not logged in will first be presented with a 'target resolver' if their own elected officials must be determined. They will also be presented with the Contact Information Page before logging their first call, if you have opted to use that page. Registered users who are logged in, on the other hand, will be presented with the list of targets and will move directly to the page for logging their call when they click the link to do so.

To preview an alert

  1. Select the Preview tab for the specific Call Alert.

  2. Click the radio button for Simulate the experience of the logged out user.

  3. Click Preview. The preview will open in a new window.

  4. Navigate through the alert as a logged-out user would do.

  5. Close the preview window.

  6. Click the radio button for Simulate the experience of a registered user who is logged in and repeat the preview as a logged-in registered user, again closing the preview window when finished.

  7. Click Cancel to return to the Call Alert Info screen.
