Customize Section Headings and Display Options

If you are comfortable with coding, some of the content can be configured using S-Tags. For more information, refer to the Luminate Online S-Tag Reference Manual.

Field Description
Display the alert Name? Select this option to display the public name of the alert.
Fields for Take Action Page only Click here to view fields that are only available when editing the Take Action page.
Next/Send button label: (ZIP Code/Take Action/Tell-a-Friend pages only)

Provide the text of the Next button (ZIP Code page) or the Send button (Take Action or Tell-a-Friend pages) to display on the public-facing page.

If you select an image for this button on the ZIP Code or Take Action pages, it will be used instead of the text entered here.

You may use single quotes within the text (as in Say 'NO' to Drugs!).

Caution: If you use double quotes (as in Say "NO" to Drugs!), the quoted text and anything following it will be stripped out; initial double quotes will result in a blank button.

Cancel button label: (Not available for Thank You or Tell-a-Friend Confirmation pages)

Provide the text of the Cancel button, which enables the advocate to discard unsaved edits for the page he or she is on. The default text is Cancel.

You may use single quotes within the text (as in Say 'NO' to Drugs!).

Display an additional Send button? (Take Action page only)

Select this option to display an additional Send button at the top of the alert page. The button will duplicate the Send button as configured, using either the text you entered for the Send button label or an uploaded image.

Display a Cancel button? (Not available for Thank You or Tell-a-Friend Confirmation pages)

Select this option to display a Cancel button.

Display target recipients? (Thank You/Tell-a-Friend pages only)

Select this option to display target recipients to whom the letter was sent.

Confirmation section heading: (Thank You/Tell-a-Friend pages only)

Provide the heading for the "confirmation of letter" sent area. The default text is Confirmation.

Primary paragraph (Thank You/Tell-a-Friend/Tell-a-Friend Confirmation pages only)

Provide the text for the first paragraph confirming that the letter or forwarded alert has been sent. The default text is Thank you for supporting us on this issue. The Tell-a-Friend Confirmation page adds the sentence, We have forwarded this alert with your message.

Secondary paragraph (Thank You/Tell-a-Friend pages only)

Provide the text for the secondary paragraph confirming that the letter has been sent. The default text is:

Your letter has been sent to the following media organizations and individuals.

Paragraph describing the issue: (Not Published/Alert Expired page only)

Provide the text for the paragraph explaining that the page is not published or has expired. The default text is:

Unfortunately, the alert you selected has not yet been published [has expired]. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Tell-a-Friend section heading: (Tell-a-Friend page only)

Provide the heading for the section explaining the Tell-a-Friend option. The default text is Ask your friends to participate!

Tell-a-Friend section hint: (Tell-a-Friend page only)

Provide hint text for the Tell-a-Friend option. The default text is:

Tip: Separate multiple email addresses with commas.

Show response history? (Alert Already Taken page only)

Select the checkbox to display a list of the targets to whom the advocate already sent letters.

Paragraph displayed with response history: (Alert Already Taken page only)

Provide text to introduce the response history and explain that the advocate already took action on this alert. The default text is:

Thank you for your continuing support! You appear to have responded to this alert already, and we limit participation to a single response per constituent. Contact section heading: Provide the heading for the section where advocates provide their name, address, and other contact information. Default text is Contact Information.
Required fields hint: Provide the hint text to indicate required fields. The default text is Required fields.
Target section heading: Provide the heading for the section where advocates choose from a list of target recipients. The default text is Audience.
Target section hint: Provide a hint explaining how the Target Audience was selected for the current advocate. The default text includes S-Tags to show the ZIP code associated with the advocate, and for the advocate to go to the ZIP Code page and enter a different ZIP code:

Target selection limit hint: Provide a hint specifying how many target recipients an advocate may select. The default text includes an S-Tag with the limit configured for your site:

Talking Points section heading: Provide the heading for the section containing your suggested talking points for the advocates when they write their letters. The default text is Talking Points.
Message section heading: Provide the heading for the Message area of the Take Action page where advocates compose their letters. The default text is Message.
Word limit hint: Provide a hint specifying how many words a letter may include. The default text includes an S-Tag with the word limit configured for your site:

Message footer: Provide a footer for the letter sent by advocates. The default text includes S-Tags for personalized content:
