Define a Custom Access-Denied Page for a Folder

(Folder Manager only)

You can set a custom access-denied page for a folder with restricted read-access, to display to website visitors who do not belong to the constituent (member) group that has access. Otherwise, a standard access-denied page displays.

For instance, a CMS folder may be configured to grant the Reader role only to registered constituents in the Northwestern Districts Constituent group. A registered constituent who logs in and tries to view a page in that folder but does not belong to the designated group will be shown the custom access-denied page.

You create the custom page separately, then assign it to the restricted folder in the Folder Properties dialog. The page itself must be located in a folder with unrestricted access so that it can display to any site visitor.

A custom access-denied page can be assigned to any folder. The page is used only if the folder has restricted read access.
