The Embedded Item component allows you to display content from Luminate CMS from the current site or a different site within the same host group.
Note: The Embedded Item component differs from the Include component in that you must define the items and template before you insert the Embedded Item component. There are several options for embedding media or other items:
Display templates provide administrative control over the presentation of embedded items.
The Embedded Item component cannot have a site-wide, default configuration. Each component instance is unique and configured from scratch.
You can insert multiple instances of the Embedded Item component in:

The body of a single Web page

A single display template
-
The body and the associated single display template of a single Web page (one or more embedded items in the page body plus one or more items in the display template)
You cannot:

Embed an image or a file (an item whose base type is Image or File).

Embed a Web page item in a list display template.
