To populate the list in a selection menu with content category fields

  1. Create a content category. See Working with Content Categories for more information.

  2. Open the Form Console, and click Select. The Drop-Down Menu Properties dialog displays.

  3. Enter the following:

    • Label: Enter a name that identifies the menu to constituents and press Tab.

      • Note: The Name field is automatically populated based on the Label value. In general, you should not change the name. Doing so may cause validation errors when you save the form.

    • Height: The height of the text box on the page.

    • Allow Multiple Selections: Select to allow constituents to make multiple selections by holding down the Ctrl key.

    • Required Field: Click to make this a required field.

    • Dynamically build menu options based on: Select A list of content categories.

    • Choose a set of categories: Select the category set that you created in step 1. The Label fields populate with the category names.

  4. Click OK. The selection menu displays in the WYSIWYG content editor with a list of category-backed fields.
