To insert a remote RSS feed into a wrapper

(Website Administrator only)

  1. Before you start, verify the format of the remote RSS feed (RSS2, RSS1, or ATOM).

  2. Open the wrapper for editing.

  3. Note: Inserting the RSS Feed Display component into a list template is not recommended, since the component itself includes a list display. If you choose to do so, insert the component outside the "repeating" area (green dotted line).

  4. Click the Insert Component button in the HTML Editor toolbar. The Insert Component dialog appears.

  5. Select the RSS Feed Display component.

  6. Configure the fields in the RSS Feed Display component dialog, such as providing the URL of the remote feed. From this dialog you also create and edit RSS feed display templates.

  7. After inserting a remote RSS feed, you may wish to add instructions such as the following for site visitors:

  8. What is RSS? RSS (Really Simple Syndication) enables you to keep up with the latest news, campaigns, and other information from sites you are interested in. With RSS feeds, you can subscribe to automatic updates and eliminate the need for repeated site visits.

    How do I access RSS feeds? You will need special software called an RSS news reader. Once you select a service, your RSS reader retrieves corresponding site updates automatically and allows you to view feeds in one place. There are many readers available and most are free.
