Style Sheets
You can optimize and fine-tune the look and feel of Web sites separately from the content itself. This section is intended to help Web designers and design partners produce information architecture, markup and CSS. By understanding the building blocks, designers can develop designs that are easily achieved using this application and that maximize ease of use for your administrators.
Note: Working with style sheets requires a strong understanding of the general principles of site design, especially end-user tasks and developing information architecture. You should also have the technical expertise necessary for producing accessible HTML markup and CSS.
Designs may not include server-side scripting. Only code that executes on the client-side is supported, such as JavaScript. This section:
-
Describes the structure and relationship of pages and components.
-
Provides details to information architects who are planning wrapper templates, content types, display templates, content categories, and other elements of a complete Web site.
-
Suggests best practices to achieve a scalable, easy-to-manage Web site.
-
Provides detailed examples of markup for elements over which designers have control.
