Bulk operations allow you to perform certain tasks quickly. For example, you can approve all items in a folder using Bulk Approve, rather than approving the files one by one. Other tasks you can perform include downloading data to modify it in a spreadsheet before re-importing, uploading images and files, backing up your site, and so on. Most of these tools are found in the Reports & Tools > Bulk Operations area. Importing and exporting is the only tool that is not located in the Bulk Operations area; they are located in content type properties pages.
