RSS Feed Properties Dialog
Use the RSS Feed Properties dialog to view or configure an RSS feed for your own site. What you can do depends on your administrative role. For instance, a folder-level Author can view but not edit the properties of an RSS feed.
To access the RSS Feed Properties dialog:
- (Website Administrator only) Click the New Feed button or the Feed Properties button on the RSS Feeds toolbar.
- Right-click an RSS Feed title on the RSS Feeds page or dialog, and select Properties.

(Required) Maximum Field Length: 400 |

Content Type |
(Required) From the drop-down menu choose the content type for this RSS feed, such as Press Releases. The menu displays all content types for the current Web site. An RSS feed may include items of one content type only. |
Content Filter |
(Required) Select a content filter to limit the contents of this RSS feed. The filters available for selection vary according to the selected content type. Click Browse to open the Content Filters dialog and either select an existing filter or create a new filter. For example, you may filter by relative date range to include content only from the last seven days. |
Image |
Click Browse to open a Choose Image dialog. To clear a selected image from the text box, click the Delete button. Any image selected must conform to image guidelines for this application. For instance, you may only use images in GIF, JPG, or PNG file format. |
XSLT Stylesheet |
(Optional, for Website Administrators working with XSLT style sheets) Converts XML to HTML. Click Browse to find a style sheet. To clear a selected style sheet from the text box, click the Delete button. Note: CSS files are managed from Reports and Tools. XSLT stylesheets are managed independently, with one for each available format: RSS 2.0, RSS 1.0, and ATOM. |
Item Limit |
(Required) Default: 10 Enter the maximum number of items this RSS feed can include, up to 100. For example, if you are setting up an RSS feed to display only your organization's 20 most recent press releases, set the Item limit to 20. |

RSS Item Properties | Click to open the RSS Item Properties dialog and specify alternate fields (from the selected content type) to display as RSS item properties. |
