The Website Explorer Dialog Fields

Based on the general structure of Website Explorer, the Website Explorer dialog provides additional features for finding and selecting items both within and outside Luminate CMS. This is particularly useful for sites with large and complex folder structures and content pools.

These features are available to folder Authors or Managers for their assigned folders. A Website Administrator must also be a folder Author or Manager in one or more folders to access these features.

You usually access the Website Explorer dialog from the WYSIWYG content editor toolbar. Click the View Folder Tree button, the Insert Image button, or the Insert Hyperlink button (which opens the Hyperlink dialog where you click Browse Folders). The dialog may vary depending on context. For example, it is called the Choose Image dialog when you are inserting an image.

Tab Description
Browse

Browse the folder structure of an entire Web site and select an item, such as a Web page to use as a Hyperlink target. Use the drop-down menu in the left pane to select a different site for browsing. You can only browse within sites or folders where you have an administrative role.

Folders where you have no folder role are marked as forbidden.

When you click on a folder where you are an Author or Manager, a minimized version of the Website Explorer Toolbar displays for tasks such as adding a file or creating a new folder.
