Editing a Constituent's Transactions in the Constituent Record

All monetary transactions made by a Constituent on your site are recorded in their constituent record, including donations, registration fees for team fundraising events, and ticket purchases.

Although most transactions are direct (like a ticket purchase for an event), for fundraising events where constituents gather donations from their family and friends (such as TeamRaiser events or Personal Fundraising Tribute and Memorial Funds), a transaction may be labeled as a donation with soft credit. This soft credit may be deleted and moved to a different constituent if the wrong constituent has been given the soft credit.

You can view a:

  • Summary of transaction activity to determine how much the constituent has contributed over their lifetime and in the current year and if they have any additional amounts promised.

  • Specific transaction to view the details about the date on which it occurred, the type of payment made, the fundraising activity that generated the transaction, and so on

If the following actions display in the Actions column of a transaction, you can:

  • Print a receipt

  • Regenerate a receipt

  • Refund the payment

  • Change or remove the soft credit associated with a donation

  • Add soft credit to a donation

  • Change the donor associated with a donation

  • Enter a new transaction
