Managing Security Scenario 2

The following scenario will help you to better understand how to manage security and assign privileges for your site.

Scenario: As the Site Administrator, you would like to have two Junior Administrators who can view TeamRaiser reports and Donation reports. You do not want these Junior Admins to be able to create or manage the actual TeamRaisers or Donation Forms or to see any other reports. The ability to view TeamRaiser and Donation reports is already available as a pre-made permission set (role) that can be assigned to Admin Security Groups. To allow Junior Admins to access all of the TeamRaiser and Donation reports requires no configuration. Create a new Administrative Security Group for the new admins, and then assign the two permission sets to them.

The following series of steps will accomplish this task:

• Creating the Security Group that can View TeamRaiser and Donation Reports

• Adding Members to the Group

• Giving the Group Permission to View TeamRaiser and Donation Reports

• Testing the Permissions
