Add, Change, or Remove Soft Credit for an Organization Gift

You can change an existing gift so that it is associated with a TeamRaiser Participant or Team. To do so you will add a soft credit to the existing gift.

  1. Click Constituent360 > Organizations. The Organization List will display.

  2. Find the Organization, then click Details in the Actions column. The Profile will display.

  3. Click Transactions. The Transaction History will display.

  4. Find the gift. Click Add Soft Credit in the Actions column.

  5. In the pop-up, select the appropriate option and then click Search.

  6. In the search pop-up, if necessary, enter all or part of the name of the participant, team, or event to whom the soft credit for this donation should be assigned and then click Search.

  7. In the search results pop-up, click Select from the Action column of the appropriate participant or team.

  8. Click Apply.

You can change a soft credit if it was added to the wrong participant, team, or event.

  1. Click Constituent360 > Organizations. The Organization List will display.

  2. Find the Organization, then click Details in the Actions column. The Profile will display.

  3. Click Transactions. The Transaction History will display.

  4. Find the gift. Click Change Soft Credit in the Actions column.

  5. In the search pop-up, if necessary, enter all or part of the name of the participant, team, or event to whom the soft credit for this donation should be assigned and then click Search.

  6. In the search results pop-up, click Select from the Action column of the appropriate participant or team.

  7. Click Apply.

You can remove a soft credit if the gift should no longer be associated with a participant, team, or event.

  1. Click Constituent360 > Organizations. The Organization List will display.

  2. Find the Organization, then click Details in the Actions column. The Profile will display.

  3. Click Transactions. The Transaction History will display.

  4. Find the gift. Click Remove Soft Credit in the Actions column. The Remove Soft Credit window will display.

  5. Review the soft credit information. Click Confirm.
