Conditional Content

Use Conditionals to show or hide content based on user attributes. This allows you to tailor sections of your message to specific audiences.

Add a Conditional

  1. Place your cursor where you want the conditional content displayed and select the Conditional Icon Conditional icon.

  2. Select a Group.

  3. Select a condition state and Insert. Your conditional content will appear with a gray border and tabs for each possible condition.

  4. For each tab of the conditional component, select the text field and enter the desired text for that condition.

Tip: To switch between the tabs of the conditional element (e.g., Is donor, Is not donor, Unknown), either select the desired tab directly or select the conditional and the Toggle Condition icon Toggle Condition icon.

Custom Field Conditionals

To create a conditional based on a custom field created by your organization:

  1. Place your cursor where you want the conditional content to appear, then select the Conditional IconConditional icon.

  2. For Group, select Additional Information.

  3. Choose the desired custom field.

  4. Select a state such as equals, begins with, contains, is blank, etc.

  5. Enter the value to complete the condition. For example equals small or contains run.

  6. Select Insert. Your conditional content will appear with a gray border and tabs for each possible condition.

  7. For each tab, select the text field and enter the desired content for that condition.

Edit a Conditional

  • To move or remove a conditional, right-click the component and select Cut, Copy, or Paste.

  • To edit the content:

    • Double-select a conditional text field to open the Edit Conditional dialog.

    • Select a tab, enter the desired content, and select Save.

    • Alternatively, select the conditional and click the edit conditional icon Edit Conditional icon. Then select a tab, enter the desired content, and select Save.
