When you create a Page, the system automatically inserts a Tell-A-Friend link into your Page Wrapper that your site visitors can click to send an email message to others to tell them about the Page and provide a link to it.
You can customize the email Message subject and body to make it apply to the content of the Page and offer a compelling reason to click the link to it. You can also decide to let the people who send this Tell-A-Friend to edit the subject and body information or add more text without disturbing the existing content. You can also change the Tell-A-Friend link from an image to a text link, and change the wording. The Tell-A-Friend link applies to all Versions of the Page.
Every Tell-A-Friend email message will contain a link that the recipient can click to opt out of receiving future email about the topic being promoted. That link cannot be removed or hidden, as it is required by Federal law. The text can be customized on request by a Luminate Online administrator. Refer to Tell-A-Friend Opt-Out for more information.
If you do not customize the Tell-A-Friend message and link appearance, the system will use the default Tell-A-Friend image and text set up for your organization.
Note: If you make changes, but want to revert to the defaults, click the Use Default Content button on the Tell-A-Friend configuration page.
