Edit Content in a New or Draft Version
To edit content within an Active Version of a Page, you should copy the Version to create a new Version that is identical to an existing Version, and then make changes and publish the new Version when it is ready. Making your edits in the copy is preferable to hot edits when your changes affect more than one component area on the Page or if you must replace a graphic with another graphic that is not exactly the same size since it could cause alignment problems. It is also recommended when you want to replace complex content so you will have an older Version from which to restore valuable formatting if necessary.
If the Version has not yet been published, you can edit the Version directly to make your changes.
To make changes directly in the active Version (called hot editing) to fix minor typographical errors or broken links, refer to Performing Hot Edits on the Active Version. If you are making layout changes or want entirely new content in your Version, you an also Create a New Version of the Page, which is explained in a section above
